About this opportunity :

This position is responsible for

Key responsibilities :

• Recruits and participates in the screening and selection of volunteer staff ensuring adequate staff is maintained to meet program needs.
• Plans, schedules, and assigns work of volunteer staff; instructs volunteers in proper methods and procedures; checks and approves work in progress and upon completion to ensure accuracy and completeness;

conducts written evaluations of volunteers’ performance every six (6) months.

• Assists in identifying and recommending changes in assignment and termination of volunteer staff.
• Prepares and maintains up-to-date records on all volunteers; prepares annual report regarding the status of the volunteer program.
• Confers with the supervisor regarding the status and performance of the volunteer program; prepares records and reports regarding the same.

What we are looking for in you :

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field, and
• Two (2) years of successful special events (and / or marketing) experience in a non-profit organization or a corporate setting, or

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
• Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
• Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
